# Custom Lock Screen Image

> Replace the default gradient lock screen with your own photo, for Product and Collection locks on a paid plan.

By default, a locked product or collection shows Launch Day's brand gradient behind the password card. On a paid plan, you can replace that with your own photo instead.

## Uploading an image

When customizing a lock's appearance, switch **Style** from **Default gradient** to **Custom image**, then upload a photo.

* **Recommended size:** 1920×1080
* **Minimum size:** 1200×675
* **Maximum file size:** 5MB
* **Formats:** JPG or PNG
* Portrait or square photos are automatically center-cropped to a 16:9 frame

You can store up to **5 images** per store. Once you've uploaded an image, you can reuse it across any of your locks — you don't need to re-upload it each time.

## Choosing card position

The password card sits in a narrower strip over your photo, with a gradient overlay behind it so the text stays readable regardless of what's in the image. Choose where that strip sits:

* **Left**
* **Center**
* **Right**

Pick whichever position keeps the most important part of your photo unobstructed.

## Removing a custom image

Switch **Style** back to **Default gradient** at any time — your uploaded images stay saved in your library even after you stop using one, so you can switch back later without re-uploading.
