# Payment & Billing Issues

> What to do if a subscription payment fails or a scheduled unlock seems related to billing.

## My payment failed

See [Managing Your Subscription](/billing/managing-your-subscription#if-a-payment-fails) — update your payment method from Shopify's billing page (**Manage plan** on the Plan page) and the warning will clear automatically once Shopify confirms it.

## A scheduled unlock failed — is this a billing issue?

Usually not. Scheduled unlock failures are almost always a temporary technical issue reaching Shopify, unrelated to your subscription — see [Scheduled Unlocks](/locking-your-store/scheduled-unlocks#if-a-scheduled-unlock-fails) for what to do.

If you're also seeing a payment warning on your Plan page at the same time, resolve that first, then try unlocking the affected lock manually from the Dashboard.

## I upgraded but still see Free plan limits

This is usually a caching issue — try refreshing the page. If it persists after a refresh, contact [support@madvalley.com](mailto:support@madvalley.com) with your store domain.
